About SCNG FCU

Our History

Founded in 1966 as South Carolina Army National Guard Federal Credit Union, our goal was to serve the financial needs of the men and women in the South Carolina Army National Guard and their families.

In 2007, we merged with McEntire Federal Credit Union – who, at the time, served only members of the South Carolina Air National Guard and their families – to become the South Carolina National Guard Federal Credit Union.  Our name may have changed, but our goal remains the same. 

Currently serving more than 6,000 members worldwide, South Carolina National Guard Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit organization committed to the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.”

Our Mission

“To provide the South Carolina National Guard family financial products and services in a safe and sound environment in a continuously changing world.”

When you become a member of the South Carolina National Guard Federal Credit Union, you become a member of a family. You can leave the National Guard, retire, or move away, and you’ll still have your Credit Union: “Once a member, always a member.”
